'Anything goes' is the motto of this meme. There are so many flavours to the RP world, so why not have a taste of all of them? 

-Post a comment with your characters name and in the headline. Feel free to specify what kind of thread you want to do or don't want to do. 
-Reply to each other!  Feel free to go to RNG and enter 1-6 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out. Alternatively you can of course just do it the oldfashioned way and ask 'hey, you, me, scene 1-15, how about it?'

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!



ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.
⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.
⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.



ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!

⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!

④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...

[He sat in the passenger seat of the car as he watched specks of snow accumulate on the corners of the windshield. They were driving beneath the colorless sky, surrounded by vacant land blanketed entirely by the snow, the area seemingly scant of structures or pedestrians. It was easy for him to feel the isolation, as the stillness of their surroundings more than aided the bitter remnants of an argument that had taken place less than half an hour ago.]

Are we going to allow the silence to persist like this, Teru?

[In spite of his growing vexation, his tone had remained relatively calm, refusing to seen afflicted. This wasn't the first time that they had fallen into this situation where tensions from a disagreement had left them disabled from proper communication the rest of the day, most particularly when he would arrive as the victor.]

[In the weeks following the NPA raid, Mello's position in the race to capture Kira had fallen precipitously. He'd lost the support of the remnants of the LA mafia as well as Kira's death note. A lesser man might have despaired, but Mello had his eyes locked on the goal. Any setback could be overcome so long as he had the will to overcome it, and despite being heavily injured, Mello was not out of the race just yet.

The day he rolled over and simply allowed Near to have the victory was the day he literally died. Too bad for Kira, Mello wasn't dead.

The investigation had shifted focus somewhat, and the stakes had changed. Yagami Soichiro had definitely spelt out his name, meaning the only means of protection he had left was the fact that Kira did not know what he looked like. While he'd taken care to destroy every photograph of himself, there was one left, and that was in Near's possession. To get to Near, he'd have to leave LA and fly to New York where the SPK were based.

But before that, thee was one idle curiosity that demanded his attention. Behind bars in one of LA's maximum security prisons was a man by the name of Beyond Birthday. A man whose name was notorious in Wammy's House where he'd once trained to be the next L. Just as Mello himself had done. To say that Mello felt a sense of camaraderie would have been flagrant exaggeration, but curiosity demanded answers. Mello wouldn't have been involved in his chosen vocation had he lacked curiosity.

It was said that B was fond of puzzles; Mello had obliged accordingly with a small test. The alias Walter G Arbori had been given to secure this meeting. The name was not only a perfect anagram of the names Watari, Roger, L and B, but was also exactly thirteen letters in length. As he waited impatiently for B to make his handcuffed appearance in the holding room for visitors, Mello smirked. Time to see what the previous generation of Ls successors were made of.]

[Mikami stared ahead, only a streak of ash brown hair visible in his periphery. Even if Light's expression was unreadable, the lingering sourness was palpable. They were equals in stubbornness, and Mikami possessed a strong propensity for holding grudges. His mouth was pressed into a hard line that signaled a stalemate. His grip tightened on the steering wheel as Light finally spoke.]

I was planning on it. Unless you had something to say.

[His voice was level, though without peacemaking implied. The source of conflict had seemed innocuous: a discussion about work. His coworker recently convicted a criminal who achieved minor celebrity on the news, and Mikami had a little too casually suggested he deserved the death penalty instead of his actual sentence. Under a normal person's view, his actions hadn't merited anything close. They had ultimately fallen into a heated discussion that ended with Mikami painted into a corner. He was brilliant at debate, but extreme, unable to see gray. It had earned him an incredible sentencing record, but winning a debate against Light Yagami was another story.

The snowfall was picking up, depositing steadily more white on the windshield. Mikami flicked the windshield wipers into second gear.]

[November 27th was indeed an epochal date, one he would remember eternally in the same light as societies recalled any other theophany. The anniversary of that day would surely beatify him each time he was able to experience it through his short remaining years. But poetry of the reflection aside, did one really call it an anniversary if it were before the date were made notable? These were the type of philosophical (that is to say lacking in practicality or purpose) questions that plagued a brilliant mind numbed by a... well, mind numbing task. Or set of tasks. A full week's worth of them, in fact. All it would take would be one success to relight what was becoming an increasingly gray world, but then again success only had one definition; this was not at philosophical odds with Mikami's more broad world view.

But being a man of such standards of perfectionism being glum wasn't unusual. Watching people, countless people, endless people, people in the most populous region in the nation, did wonders for reminding him how much he hated people and seeing so many of them only further depressed him, to the point where even hearing talk of Kira, confirmation of his existence and thus coherence and order in a bizarre toss of nonsense, didn't do much. No, rather, that in itself was becoming, as the days wore on, another source of stress. December 4th. The evening of December 5th was not far off.

Even telling himself it wasn't necessarily over then didn't help. It would be best to find him before then, and in serving God nothing less than the best would do.





As focused and dedicated and down to earth as Light was, having had the Note's nature confirmed less than 24 hours prior, his attentions were probably on things a bit more mystical than Mikami--yes, even more so than time traveling Mikami. If he noticed himself being followed home from not long past the train tracks, or if Ryuk happened to find the decidedly haggard looking man worth commenting on particularly early, he probably wouldn't turn to talk to him first. After all, Mikami would take the first opportunity, when Light's path entered into the less teeming neighborhood areas, to call out.]

Sir.

[He'd wait for his attention, for the boy to turn around. He'd call out to him again, approaching closer if he needed to--admittedly, most high school boys were surely not used to grown men addressing them so formally unless they were selling something or passing out advertisement tissues; types one habitually ignored living in the city. But the man following him certainly didn't look the part of a company representative. What company would want to be represented by a man with long, only mildly kempt hair, a pair of jogging pants, tennis shoes and a briefcase? It was all just mismatched enough to be unsettling, the briefcase offsetting the look that might have otherwise passed for a man on an afternoon jog, and entirely too rigid of posture in greeting him.

It had occurred to Mikami while stalking his target that this was not the best first impression to make on God. That might be a part of what kept him sober rather than insufferably jubilant. That reservation tempered by shame might actually ultimately make for the best first impression someone like Mikami could hope to make, even if he couldn't appreciate that fact for himself.]

[He wasn't chosen, not if you believed Ryuk's words. Somehow, he still found that impossible to believe. Coincidences weren't impossible, no matter how improbable, but there was no one else fit to play this role, especially on the level he'd managed to reach. Since it was him, he really could create a world no one else could dream of, whereas other people would waste it or be too afraid to take any chances. He was what the world needed, and he was expected to believe it was a coincidence he'd gotten the tools to make change happen?

Then again, Ryuk didn't seem like the kind of Death God to plan that far ahead. He'd only known him a short time, but the Shinigami was open enough that it was easy to make an impression.

But having a Shinigami by his side didn't lighten his load. He still had little time before cram school and homework didn't do itself. In between, he'd have dinner with his family, and it was possible Sayu would need help with her own homework. It was a full schedule, one he had to keep without any sign of wear or change.

The man who called his name was unexpected. He couldn't control the world, not yet, so unexpected things did happen, but this man was hard to size up. His hair fit in with the jogging clothes but not the briefcase. Tokyo was too large a city to ever know every face so it didn't bother him that he didn't recognize him. No, what bothered him was the conflicting pieces of evidence. Formal words, briefcase, a very rigid posture: none of these things seemed to belong with the clothing. If something had happened that forced the change, either this business with him was important, or he didn't know how important a nice suit could be to proper business.

[His voice was friendly enough when he stops to face him. Ryuk hadn't been at all helpful so the man managed to make the first approach. Having just finished school, his daytime uniform was on, the buttons on the jacket done up. In contrast to the messy hair of his company, Light's was impeccable though it was done so in a way that looked natural enough.]

(Not) Angst - Injury / illness

[It had been a night where Light stayed over. Mikami had watched him take out his cell phone, perched on the edge of his bed, telling his mother with an easy lie. For Mikami, there was always a slight pang at this aspect of their relationship, but that was the reality of things. He had eyed the slope of Light's shoulders and the way his hair fell against the slope of his neck, and that feeling had been replaced with another.

He woke up past his alarm the next morning, a Monday, according to the blurry numbers that read 6:21 on his bedside clock. He hadn't even heard it go off. It was beyond unusual for him to oversleep, and through his alarm especially. On top of that, its usually benign beeping was boring into his skull like an icepick. Light was a heavier sleeper than he was, and his breath still came evenly beside him in the ease of sleep, trained to tune out Mikami's alarm.]

Light—? Are you up—?

[His voice was hushed and rough when he spoke, and when he sat up goosebumps rippled across his exposed skin, his whole body giving a feverish shudder. The pounding of his head was even harder to ignore now. He was sick.]

[Mikami was aware of how strange it must have sounded. If he were still a school boy--no, even as an adult, he'd have found himself dangerous. At the moment, ironically, he was quite certain that his younger-adult self, the one currently in this world if indeed they both existed concurrently, found his current and future self to be a criminal element deserving of the fierce judgment of... ...A round eyed, baby-faced, likely well off teenage boy, apparently.

Somehow, the Sakura TV's Kira's sophomoric and simplistic nature made much more sense when framed as a high school drama instead of a liturgical one. Having something make more sense did not always necessarily improve matters. Shockingly.]

[Light peered his eyes away from the windshield to notice the grievance shown overtly in Mikami's mannerisms. The response wasn't unanticipated, but Mikami's predisposition to automatically identify any sort of opposition against his own stance deplorable had more than often complicated Light's otherwise esteemed perception of him. Had his emotions solely entailed the chagrin that expectedly follows defeat, Light would understand if not sympathize, but the level of indignation Mikami exhibited stepped beyond his ability to relate.]

You understand that I was merely pinpointing your partialities to the case and offering you an unabridged perspective. There was no malice in my intentions.

[The possibility that he had spoken out of bounds with unpremeditated condescension crossed him, but he rationalized that it wasn't enough of a sustainable reason for Mikami to have remained in unwavering silence. His eyes darted back towards the windshield before he could allow his unease to manifest, watching instead the snowfall thicken over the gradually disappearing cement.]

We shouldn't have a reason to allow for this to linger for the remainder of the day.

And did you know that's not all?! Sure, Light has to hear about Misa being famous here and there, but Misa is keeping herself chaste and pure! When she hears Light's name around town, it's about him being with some local school idol! Why are there rumors about him with a school idol when his real girlfriend is an idol out in the real world?!

Well Misa isn't just cute! And a good actress and singer! No, she's smart too! Resourceful even!

Nobody said she couldn't meet his sister all she wanted. Using the same super sleuth skills she did to find Light, she would find out what school his little sister went to and be prepared to ambush her on the way home. ]

[With criminals dropping left and right, he ended up as the oldest inmate in this prison. Maybe not by age, but certainly by how long he was there. Suffering a minor heart attack a few years back, which at the time Beyond was certain was his turn to die, he got pulled out and just kept on going. After the third year locked up, the slight worry over another heart attack went away, and he just enjoyed himself, as much as one could locked up.

The security was admittedly loosened due to Kira and prisoners weren't expected to live long, human element played its role and if B wanted he could rather easily escape, however there was no need to at that point.

During the seven year Beyond didn't have any visitors, if you don't count various therapists who never came back as visitors, so when such person finally showed up it was rather a surprise for him. Walter G Arbori...Wammy's kid huh? He thought as he was told the name of the visitor and allowed his hands to be cuffed in front of him. Used to be back. You really are slacking. However of course he didn't comment on it, more than happy with this. The door to the cell was unlocked and he was led down to the visitor's room.

He looked over at the person to the other side of the table. Curious of course, but decides to keep quiet for the sake of giving the other first word and being able to make some more conclusive judgment from that.]

[His age was one thing he had no control over. Admittedly, his styling made him look younger, but youth was celebrated, youth was relevant. There was something to be said about the honor of age, but being old didn't mean you did anything worthy of respect. In the last 11 days, Light had done more than anyone else three times his age.
