'Anything goes' is the motto of this meme. There are so many flavours to the RP world, so why not have a taste of all of them?

-Reply to each other!  Feel free to go to RNG and enter 1-6 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out. Alternatively you can of course just do it the oldfashioned way and ask 'hey, you, me, scene 1-15, how about it?'

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!



ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.

⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.



ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.



CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!
⑥ Back in School / Graduated → You're suddenly back in school! Or if you were already in it, you've aged and long since graduated!
⑦ Vampires, werewolves, and zombies, oh my! → You're suddenly a vampire, werewolf, or zombie! Maybe even a demon or a devil, whatever creepy crawly you can think of. What do you do now?

⑫ Suddenly a kid → You're a kid again! Have fun with that second childhood.
⑬ Fortune cookie → You've suddenly received a note with something that will happen in the future, either precise or vague.
⑭ Super power → And suddenly you're like Superman! Any power goes.
⑮ Bodyswap → Somehow you've changed bodies with the other person.
⑯ Back in time → Somehow, you wound up in the past again. Do you try to correct something or just sit and wait for time to jump? Maybe it jumps to various points in your life or maybe you actually think you're back in the day. Have fun, run wild with the idea!
⑰ To the future → Is it everything you've dreamed? Is it horrible? Whatever happens, you're here to witness what happens to you in the future. Either you take the place of your future self or you're just there to watch. Might cause some confusion if people start seeing double though...
⑱ Angels, mermaids, and fairies! → You're not necessary something dark or evil. You're just something different. How do you deal?
⑲ Locked in a closet → For some reason, you're locked up in a closet with someone else. Do you make nice and try to figure your way out or what?

FLUFF.
① Cuddling → For whatever reason, characters feel like being close and cuddling.
② Pillow talk → After the main event, characters are up for some pillow talk.

④ Love confession → Someone has finally decided to confess their love and today is the day!

③ Lost → You're lost and you kind of need help finding your way to where you're going. A little help with directions?
④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?

⑭ Enabler → you're enabling the other (or each other) to do something bad, really bad. Addiction, stealing, killing, or just any other self-destructive behavior.

⑯ Oh, sure, I remember you... → It's that awkward moment when someone comes up and seems to know you, but you have no idea who they even are!

[Mikami stiffened at the excuse that came in place of an apology, his jaw setting in irritation. The prior emotions easily resurfaced, and his knuckles grew white around the steering wheel. He was not graceful in loss, nor any less resolute than before. They shared plenty of spirited discussions about morality which usually played out without incident, due largely to the fact that their values aligned in many ways. But now and again, the fringe beliefs of Mikami's value system reared their heads. The squeaking of windshield wipers filled in the awkward silence before he spoke, noisy as they pushed snow aside.]

I understand that you reacted to my casual assertion with unnecessary judgment. Your 'unabridged perspective' was unsolicited, and nothing short of an outright rejection of the validity of my opinion.

[The edges of his facade were peeling back, his displeasure beginning to seep out. He turned his focus to the road in front of him, beginning to question how much longer the road would be acceptable to drive on if the snowfall continued at this rate. He was too unyielding, still refusing to believe that he might have been wrong even in the face of everything Light had suggested.]

I fail to see a lack of reason—unless you can point out the resolution that we've reached.

[ Light is growing up - it's something Sayu had expected, no, anticipated of course. She'd been preparing to live the late teenage life veraciously through her brother (much alike to a drama on TV only closer) before it was her turn. Yet somehow, it had never crossed her mind that Light might be searching himself someone famous. Smart, beautiful, successful? Yes. But an idol?
In hindsight, it's not surprising that Light can score in this league, but it's between shocking and hilarious that he actually went for it. Those reactions, however, are overshadowed by the sheer excitement of having a direct (well second-hand) connection to the world of idols!! She may not have known Misa beforehand, but this is still the most amazing thing to have happened in a while. Keeping it a secret from her friends was almost hard, but not hard enough to weigh out the giddy feeling that came with having a secret like this to begin with.

She did not expect this secret to stand in front of her at the street corner. Good thing she couldn't possibly be more unprepared than that time she stood before Misa in pajamas, thinking she'd be her dad. ]

[Compared to that time, Misa had at least dressed down. Meeting Light for the first time was a special occasion, and while meeting up with Sayu is kinda special (Sayu was going to be her future little sister-in-law and a part of her precious new not-murdered family) not standing out was important too.

Misa's idea of dressing down is still high fashion, and she can't help drawing attention. Light wouldn't like it. Light also wouldn't like Misa meeting Sayu. But Misa didn't like Light going out with other girls either so there.]

Ne, ne, do you wanna go hang out and get a cup of coffee or tea on the way home?

[ Just standing outside of the classroom listening to what she can hear of the lecture reminds her all over again how smart her boyfriend is. She has to wonder if that's even Japanese being spoke in there. ]

[ But even so, Light was still super lucky. Even if he was top of the class at the top university in Japan, having rising MisaMisa of all people waiting for him is definitely big, right? Even with sunglasses and a cap on, as if trying not to stand out, she still has her make up done and is dressed to stand out just the same. The girl Light meets with after class should be one everyone's totally jealous of, right?

What she doesn't know is that the girl Light usually meets before and sits with during classes is also one everyone's jealous of.

As people pour out at the end of the lecture, she rises up on her toes a few times eagerly hoping to catch sight of him. ]

[An expected, appropriate response. While no part of him expected God of all people to make a disparaging or openly judgmental remark on his appearance or his request, insidious as it seemed at a glance, another part of him had expected such a response simply because the one he was speaking to was human. Little boy or not, he had social mannerisms appropriate to one who understood the direction society needed to go. This world needed kindness of a level only possible if people could essentially, statistically be considered largely good. His week of people watching made it all too clear, as if it hadn't already been established, that they were not. This was a boy with the capacity to balance caution and courtesy in a world in which caution was by far the safer investment.

But he couldn't see a Shinigami. And by this boy's reaction, it was clear that he didn't have the eyes to see Mikami's own lack of lifespan. That too was as expected. "You don't have the eyes," was a strange statement meant to be made about a year from now on Sakura TV that would become a conversation piece for a year beyond that. But Mikami intended to approach this situation with more grace than that 'other' Kira. ]

This does. [If not much else in his life did warrant the need for privacy, it didn't mean that nothing did.] There is a matter of Note about which I am humbly beseeching your exclusive audience. I do not seek to draw you from your calling longer than necessary.

[His tone was dry and flat enough that the fawning, downright pretentious formality might have in fact been sarcasm. But his low bow was stiff, demeanor formal as one speaking to a foreign dignitary or diplomat might take.

Perhaps his choice of wording was still too subtle. Mikami had one more means at hand, but he suspected that making any sudden movement to reach into his briefcase for it would finally push God--rightfully--into discretion over decorum.

While fully aware of that, the idea that the behavior he was taking was likely to draw more attention than simply saying "I come from the future and know you kill people with a magical notebook and so I'm deifying you" out loud in a relatively empty residential block hadn't quite struck him yet.]

[Deduction was a case of likelihoods and while the man looked suspicious, he didn't have a gun and he wasn't wear anything to conceal his face. A smart criminal would have used a face mask, hiding behind some pretense of a cold if they planned on kidnapping someone. They would also have some kind of weapon if that target was a 'boy' larger than them, which was why he kept his eyes trained for any unexpected motions. Besides, if your mission required you to kidnap a tall man or a tiny girl, wouldn't it be easier to go after the girl? Sayu would obviously be the easy target.

But there were too many maybes. Maybe this man wasn't a smart criminal. Maybe this didn't involve his Dad. The only clues he had was the man's mismatched appearance and the way he seemed to address him, as if speaking to royalty. Light was still a high-school student and this man was obviously older than that.

But more importantly, he had mentioned the word note. Of course, it fit in perfectly with the sentence and so it could have been a coincidence, but it would be enough to keep Light from dismissing him. Nonetheless, there was no pause, no change in his demeanor. How could he know about the Note? No one could know.]

I'm sure you remember how busy it can be to be in your last year before university. If there's something more, I can be of help, but if not, I really do have to get home.

[December was the season for students' last set of school finals before their university entrance exams; seniors had no use for third term finals. It was the last set of tests important for high school itself. It couldn't be helped if God didn't quite make it into a first tier university given that it seemed a task more important than even one's mortal career set itself upon him in the weeks most pivotal to one's young adult life. Maybe with his assistance, Mikami thought, God could grasp a flower in both hands so to speak. He could have a fulfilling human life on top of shaping the world. It was an exchange: Mikami had been aware some days ago now that he had no future, that perhaps in raiding an old bank account his current self owned, he was perhaps robbing himself doubly of the highest bliss a human being could experience in a world where nothing beyond human beings really existed.

That was fine. As fulfilling, meaningful as being a prosecutor was, the difference between that and being an instrument of God was a greater chasm than the gulf between being a grade school class representative and being the Prime Minister.

He pulled his briefcase forward and held it in one arm as his other hand began to open it.]

There are more substantial matters in your life than studying right now. I apologize if it seems like the condescension of an adult to a child. It is a matter of complicated experience that I would like to convey to you to lessen the burden on you during this period of your life. If there is no time to discuss it at length, the most important portions can be summarized in five or so sentences, if you could be so patient. It will be another Note for your review, but I believe it will be worth your consideration.

[The first object taken out was a pen, likely not terribly impressive. It wasn't even a particularly noteworthy pen. The next item may have been a little more noteworthy: a familiar sized black notebook, white symbols that didn't look like any familiar script, but were in the same spot as the English script on Light's own. Once it was out, for the sake of argument Mikami did fold back the cover, he did tuck the briefcase beneath his arm, he even held the pen as if to begin writing, but he didn't really suppose that he would need to write or hand over anything. Probably, this would earn him an audience. His eyes flickered to the boy's face, waiting for that cue to have the full and proper discussion.]

[Light not only refused to accept failure, he refused to accept anything less than the best. Even if the exams weren't as important in the long run, he'd get the highest score on them too. Then, he'd best the entrance exams, go to the best school, start a lucrative career all while ridding the world of the filth, the film that had begun to cover it all. He was like the doctor and the medicine, curing it from within and without.

But today it seemed there would be a curve ball. His eyes watched the hand movements when they began to dig into the briefcase, worried a weapon was pulled out. The Notebook, in contrast, was far more surprising.

How? Of course, if Ryuk had dropped his Note, it made sense another could appear, but how did he know Light had one? It had to be Ryuk's presence, but the man himself had no Shinigami. But this didn't give them something in common, this didn't make the man seem any more safe. No, if anything, he was more dangerous.

He also had his attention.

His hand went out to see if he would pass the Note over. On the off-chance this was his own book, that they had managed to get into his room somehow, he wasn't going to reveal everything.]

[Light exhaled at the bearish response, his vexation beginning to filter through his own expression. For a trivial disagreement over an outcome that had already taken place, he couldn't comprehend the escalation of Mikami's emotions nor the treatment he had been given in place of settlement. Nothing seemed reason enough for Mikami's antagonism to be rightfully deserved, yet the abrupt change in behavior almost caused Light to regret choosing to voice out his own perspective.]

I won't deny that I found your opinion to be unfairly prejudiced. If you continue to disagree with me, you should at least have been able to create a counterargument in lieu of deciding to sit there defiantly tight-lipped for the rest of the drive. Would you have preferred if I kept silent instead of having treated the discussion with actual commentary?

[His tone was unwavering, not induced by Mikami's voiced irritation. It wasn't so much Light wanted Mikami to accept that he was right but rather he wanted him not to view the opposition with such an egocentric lens. He crossed his arms, feeling his patience beginning to wane. As he watched the snowfall gradually worsen before them, his thoughts shifted to a more important concern.]

[Mikami's eyes went from Light's to the outstretched hand. It was immediately understood that it was a request for the entire Note. Mikami had little choice but to believe that this boy wouldn't try to grab it and run, that he was responsible, smart, reasonable, and as quick to grasp absurd situations as he had been and to turn them to his advantage. Betraying Mikami's loyalty, even if caution would be the better bet, would not lead to the best outcome. Already he'd said enough things that if the Note were seized, even with all pages with names removed, there could be trouble if he were overheard. It was enough to make him wonder what the point of discretion was as he looked down to the note and wrote a quick sentence before closing it and holding it out to him with both hands and a slight bow, as if Light were being passed some formal sort of offering in a particularly fancy bank or high-class shop rather than being handed a notebook in passing on the street.

This man's notebook had no English writing, no instructions. The front cover had something that may have appeared like writing from a distance, but even an honor student like Light wouldn't recognize the language.

All that was written (legibly) was on the first page; "There's not one to see."

Having received five pages of detailed instructions and orders from God--likely this boy himself, if 6 years older--he hadn't considered that in this time frame, he had not yet become aware of the fact that touching the Note made it possible to see the Shinigami attached.]




[If there's anything about the Note that future Light would leave out when writing those 5 pages to Mikami when having Misa send the Note, let me know. Otherwise I'll assume he knows everything future Light does about the Note's functions and Shinigami, aside from how to kill one.

Also do you assume Light ordered Mikami to take the eyes in that letter or described the trade and assumed Mikamki would take them without being told?]

[Was it possible to at once appear wide-eyed and disinterested? The answer to that question was a resounding yes. Chin over his knees he peered at Light with one such a look.

Was that lack of concern due to being connected to him all day every day leaving him fully aware of Light's circumstances? The answer to that question was probably not. A period in a small cell aside, Light was rarely in less than top form and he had his doubts about even his time imprisoned having been a break from that pattern.]

Are you all right?

[What was the nature of that question? Since it was not concern and since this was Ryuuzaki who wasn't known for conventional pleasantries, the answer was probably that it was a form of mockery.

Was he getting some small trace of amusement from this? The answer to that question was in the nature of humor. It came from the unexpe--Oh, fine, the short and simple answer was yes. Yes, he was.

What was the nature of Light's situation that managed to amuse even the world's greatest detective? The answer to that question was...]

[Mikami bristled at the further verbal assault. While Light's tone remained even and controlled, the words alone were incendiary enough to spur a reaction from him. He pressed the heels of his hands against the steering wheel, looking with a hard expression into the white before speaking.]

As I previously stated, if society is truly to transform through law, then harsher sentences should be incentive enough for improvement. Isn't the purpose of law order? It's not accomplishing its job through minor sentences for serial criminals who are sure to become repeat offenders as soon as they're released. Attempts at reformation are typically fruitless. There's a strong case to be made for the fact that someone like that shouldn't be allowed to continue to exist. That made it more likely he would screw up and have the Note end up in the wrong hands. That couldn't happen.
